Disposable friends?

I've just been observing something quite disturbing transpiring around me lately. No, not in Glasgow, but in Livejournal. I've noticed that several people are cutting friends from their friend's lists. While it is theoretically permissible to do or say almost anything in one's own journal, I am wondering about this trend to apparently throw

I cant stand people who do f-list cuts...its stupid to me "ooooh they didnt comment in my journal so now your trash to me *defriends them*" pathetic
