7) Career Step's number is: 18002467837

8) Military One Step/ MyCAA's number is: 18003429647

THE PROCESS: (At least, this was my personal experience.)

1) Visit link # 3. Complete "Step 1" Which is the Career Step application.
Submit it once you are finished.

2) At the same webpage, go on to "Step 2" Which is the MyCAA application. You would
be wise to use the visual guide and checklist I mentioned above in links #5 & #6.
Or you can call a Career Step councilor at the number listed under #7 above.
At this step, you will make an account with MyCAA using link #4.

3) Continue to follow the guides & activate your MyCAA account when you get the email
varification. You will then set up your Career Plan. You will need to call a Career Step
councilor to get your "School Student ID #" at this time. If you get stuck at anytime,
give your councilor a call and they will help you. While they have you on the phone, they
may send you an email with an agreement that you will respond to with:
"I agree. YOUR-NAME-HERE"

4) Upon submitting your Career Plan through your MyCAA account, call military One source
using the number listed under #8 above. You need to talk with a councilor to have your
Career Plan approved before you can go any further. Be persistant. They are VERY hard to
get through to. So don't give up. It usually takes a few days for them to give you a call
back. It's best if you call a few times every day until you get through to an available
councilor. The faster you get to talk to a councilor, the better chance you will have at
getting the money to pay for the Career Step program. What I mean by that is, MyCAA
CAN & MAY run out of funding at some point. Maybe not super soon, but it will happen
eventually. YKWIM?

5) Once you have talked to a MyCAA councilor & gotten your Career Plan approved, you'll
get a message on your MyCAA account that says "Funding is Available". At that point, you
will move onto the Financial Aid part in your MyCAA account. You should still be following
those guides, they make this a breeze. You choose your start date/end date and all that
jazz in this step, also. As soon as you submit the application, you will get a
confirmation number. Write that down. Then use the link provided on the confirmation page
to print out the confirmation pdf. file. Save these for your records.

6) At this time, you're name will pop up on a list at Career Step. Give your councilor
a call & let them know everything went through and you are ready to start school.
They will then email you your school login and password. Once you recieve that information,
you can begin your course. Your school materials will be shipped to you in 7-10 days.

7) Start your course. Complete it. Get your Certificate. Find a Job. Notify
MyCAA of all of that. Then be happy & use the rest of the money that is left over
from MyCAA toward another class, if you want. =]
