It hurts when I do this... so maybe don't do it?

In the last couple of months I've developed a horrible lower back pain. It seems to be tied to the armchair I've been using for my laptop. After trying to adjust how I sit for days I finally caved and moved to the couch yesterday/last night and today I feel MUCH better. Said chair is not moving with me. Eeek! Glad that the problem had an easy fix and that you're feeling better.

(Our couch has a tendency to hurt backs as well - as I found out some months ago and teddywolf found out a couple of days ago - but we can't afford to replace it, so we work around it. *sigh*)

Thanks!! This isn't the first time a chair has done this to me *sigh*. It's just one of those things that so frustrating and so often either a bother, or two expensive to fix that it's hard to really do something about it.

I'm hoping that was most of the issue! I've had this kind of thing happen before but after the stagers came through I had to change everything so some older problems came back....

I've been having a similar problem with my old but beloved armchair. A rolled up bath towel, applied just above the butt in the lumbar area, has solved the problem nicely. Might be worth a try.

Glad you figured out a fix for yours that works!! I think I'm just going to take advantage of the excuse to not take the chair with me. It's a long story but there are other reasons I was considering getting rid of it but I was having trouble talking myself into it. This has helped cement my decision :).
