First of all, my closing on the selling of my old condo happened last Friday and all is almost cleaned up there. Seems dishwasher is having issues so I'm covering having it checked into, and... we'll see. But anyway it's sold, yay

Having a little time while moving is A Good Thing! When I bought the current house, I had time between closing on it and having to vacate PriorHouse that I was able to turn the keys over to the painters and have them completely repaint the interior to my specs (it had old lady wall borders *shudder*) before I moved any of my stuff in. So much more civilized than having to deal with dropcloths and painting w/ critters underfoot, etc.

So yeah, look at it as an opportunity, and plan and do the things that will be a pain once all your things are in place.

This is exactly how I'm trying to look at it!! Someone is coming out to look at potential roof damage today (so I can figure out what to do about some ceiling issues) and then I can contact painters and begin to figure out what I want/need to do. :)
