I voted third party, allowing me to continue my streak of always voting for presidential candidates who don't win.
Of people in my state, ~4.3% voted third party. The person I voted for was the last of all of these, unless you were to break out the group-all "write in" category.
Even though voting third party is about as effective as not voting at all, I consider it the better option assuming you can find someone whose views seem to align with yours at least for the most part. Only if you cannot find such a person (and you judge yourself unfit for office) does it seem like a reasonable course of action to abstain from voting. The other option of voting for X even thought you don't like X just because you dislike Y even more does not make sense to me.
