Aw, I'm sorry to hear this. It sounds like you both have some good reasons for not going, and everyone is going to have to understand.

I agree with Kevin that you both have good reason not to go. When Dev and Stan couldn't go to his mother's funeral Dev sent a great boquet and a card that said "We're there in spirit." Or, "Our hearts are with you" would also be nice.

Thank you for a couple nice suggestions for the card to go with the flowers. We're going to be ordering something today most likely, once we hear some details from K's sister.
