we booked our trip through a tour agency here and Waran works for their associate in Bali. actually, how he operates is kinda funny. he told us that if we choose to go with his company, we have to pay USD60 for 2 pax. but he recommended his fren to us, who will only charge us Rupiah 300,000 for 2 pax. that works out to be about S$58 for 2 pax....

taxis are readily available in Bali and they run on the meter, so there's no bargaining involved. pretty cheap to hop into a taxi and go from place to place.

aiyo, food is a problem man! in Hilton, only 1 of the 6 restaurants stayed open during the day and the food is either spicy or tot-unfriendly. so E lived on french fries and cereal with oats for those 4 days! luckily, i got the cereal/oat recipe from www.annytotrecipe.com before i leave....;p

Nice holiday pix! Know what u mean when you say you are also busy all day cleaning, bathing, feeding, patting, playing with your kid ... while trying to enjoy the holiday! And esp when beach resorts like Bali or Phuket isn't an exactly kids friendly place to bring toddlers ~ not unless they enjoy the sun, sand, and sea so much (as if we parents allow them anyway) or the family usu end up staying back relaxing in the hotel instead ;P
