I can't watch those clips now but I did see the Hilary clip when it first aired. I dunno that I'd call that "breaking down" ... she responded with emotion. I think that if a male candidate had done that it would be praised as a surprisingly passionate response .... If Hilary is cool & stoic she's heartless; if she shows emotion she's weak. Not pro or anti Hilary myself btw, I'm still listening & considering, just reflecting on how we perceive people through the lens of gender.

The second clip made your basic point. The guy read examples of male politicians having an emotional moment, and the praise they received.

But remember how Ed Muskie was knocked out of the presidential race for what may or may not have been a tear?

That wasn't the ONLY reason I believe she is not a suitable candidate for our next president. I don't think she will effectively run our country, which is the most important thing. I think she went on TV and cried to gain sympathy, and that, to me is wrong. So don't put words in my mouth. Kbye

Look again. I didn't say you said it was the only reason. I said it was A reason. And after looking at the clip -- waiting, from the sound of your description -- of her to break down in tears and perhaps start sobbing -- I don't think she even dripped a tear. Where I come from this isn't called crying.
