I stayed up late last night to watch the coverage, the announcement and the speeches. After seeing footage of the revelers celebrating in the streets all across America, I took the dog outside, at roughly 12:30 a.m., and was shocked to find how quiet it was. As it turned out, I wasn't alone in this country staying up to the wee hours of the night watching television. When I got to work, I found I wasn't the only one with bags under my eyes. And most had smiles on their faces, too.
