Oh, yeah....Derek is one of only two Max users on the asset team I manage.
About the symmetry...originally, the game was ( and still might return) in 2D. Most of the enemies actually do have tons of asymmetric limb placement and weapon loadouts...
Right now, the project is kind of being re-designed....hahaha. I was only brought on to design the look of the characters, but there's a big hole in the interaction/fun aspect. So, I'm making the designer take another stab at some stuff.
I also have a ton of model notes, so we'll see how happy he'll be to deal with me this time next week...
