Having gotten out of work early for once Joel left the coffee shop and wondered farther into the casino. He rarely came onto the actual gaming floor but for some reason today he was feeling lucky. He'd gotten a big tip and that cute customer had flirted with him again so why not give it a go, he could use some extra money as the weekend came up and he had more plans than his budget could fit.
He wanted just luck tonight so he passed the card tables and found the roulette wheel. He changed all his tip money from the week in and put it all on one number. This was going to be great. He would pay back Dave the money he owed him and then be able to afford to get drunk all weekend long.
The ticking of the wheel as it slowed drew his attention in, but it didn't look good. NO no no he thought to himself as the number that came up was all wrong, even the color too. He couldn't breathe for that moment while realization sunk in. He'd done the wrong thing, he should have just gone home and now there was no going back. He swore under his breath defeated and wanting to punch someone, namely himself. It would be a ramen and netflix kind of weekend it seemed, he wasn't sure how he could have been so stupid. Things never were that lucky for him.
