Talking of travel writing/journalism. Maybe sounds unlikely to some but Monty Dons 'Around the World in 80 gardens' showing at moment is wonderful. He is so perceptive and expressive and enthusiastic, and sensitive to individuals he meets. The India programme is available for 5 more days on BBC i player, check out last half hour especially.

Ooh will do. I quite like Monty Don. I wonder if I can see it on catch up TV on cable. iPlayer, despite its name, doesn't play TV on Macs yet.
