Actually...I was hoping for long haired!Tonks. My image of her has always been with shoulder-length hair, so this is fine by me.

I have no idea why I wanted her with short hair, except that I always pictured her as a bit of early-nineties punk... A bit like a sort of Shirley Manson figure. Doc Martens, lots of black, attitude...

That haircut is totally Shirley from the Stupid Girl era and I love it. I sort of wanted her to wear short skirts too...what better to have a quickie with Remus?

Well, it is Tonks we're talking about. Who says her hair is going to stay that way?

She's not quite how I pictured her, honestly. But how many of the characters were? Except for Hagrid, of course.

And Dumbledore... and yeah, I know... You speak the truth. Still, when she's so close to your heart, you do kind of get attached to the mental image. I can remember being the same way about The Horse Whisperer. Sexy cowboys so DO NOT look anything like Robert Redford. ;)

And as for the hair, I suspect it will change and this is the bit from the beginning where Tonks' hair is indeed 'violet'.

I am ever so excited.

I think she matches my idea of her nearly perfectly. I'm hoping this is the Advanced Guard scene, and hopefully the next time we see her- she'll be short, pink, and spikey!

I think the clothes and shoes rock.

Oh I so love being able to talk about this with someone, lol. I've been squee-ing by myself for the last 20 minutes, lol.

The shoes are easily the best thing... Tonks should be punk, I swear. And yes, you could be right, maybe they ARE going to chop her hair off for her next scene... In fact, they could have it appear to change all over the place if they order their shooting properly.

I am excited. I was so convinced that I would see the first pictures and then feel the need to grumble about how they screwed up Tonks. I'm happy I can instead squee with excitement. I'm waiting to see pictures of her bubblegum pink hair, that's the "do" that I always envisioned being punk.
