Very few people see his beauty, but I always did. No one really paid much attention to Nick. He was just the pot head drummer, not to me. To me he was so much more.
I remember the night we got together. Tony had gotten a Polaroid and was taking pictures of everyone. Nick handed me his picture and in his usual self-effacing way he said “Billy I want you to have this but I understand if my photographs don't line your mirror. I'm not much to look at.”
I kissed him. “Nick you are more beautiful than you know.”
