He looked like any other fan, standing there waiting to see the band play, that night he wore he hair down and flat against his face. His eye makeup much more subdued and his clothing rather non-descript a pair of basic black pants and a black t-shirt. He even added a pair of emo boy glasses, to help further hide his identity and also to fit in a bit better. Not that anyone would expect to see Billy Martin in the crowd at a Finch show. But there he was pushing his skinny body up to the front like any other fan, trying to get closer to the object of his affection.

The songs all sung, the show over, Billy made his way to the back of the club. He could have easily gotten backstage but that would have ruined it, ruined his surprise. So like any other fan hoping to just get an autograph or a picture or a simple hug he headed outside and to the back. Randy was the first person he saw and Randy just looked at Billy like he was another fan, until they started to talk. Randy offered Billy an in but Billy said no, he wanted to keep up the charade of being just another Finch fan. Randy grinned and agreed to keep his secret.

A secret that would soon prove not too wise, when moments later Nate, holding the hand of a girl, walked right past him, Billy was shocked, Nate was his. They had been dating, well serious since March, and had vowed their lives to one another in May and here he was holding hands with a girl, a girl that in no way resembled Nate’s sister. Billy, like Nate’s songs, felt like screaming, he felt like his heart was being torn from his chest as he called out to the person who was essentially his husband. Nate recognizing the voice turned to face the sad eyed Billy, Billy who at that moment was questioning everything, past and present, in his relationship with Nathan Scott Barcalow. Nate gasped and dropped the girls hand and not caring who was around to see as he moved toward Billy pulling him into the most heated, loving, and impassioned kiss the world had seen. As the kiss broke all Billy could do is ask “Who’s that girl?”

Nate responded with another kiss and a whisper of “No one.”
