Diva (1996 - 2012)

Diva came home with me in 2006, after her previous owner went to live in France for a year. The first thing I posted about her was

and now she came back to be petted and was pretty insistent about it. We're gonna get along just fine.

I'm sorry to hear about you losing your furry friend. It's great that you were at least able to spend some time visiting before the vet put her to sleep.

I know what it's like: a couple months ago, my cat Tinkerbell (that had been going through chronic renal failure for about a year) suddenly went from normal to barely conscious in about 24 hours. IV fluids started helping, but not enough, and we had to let her go the following morning. It still hurts. At least she passed away purring.
