Nick rolled his eyes but kept his comments to himself. It wouldn't do to alienate the press on his husband's first day in office; he could leave that until tomorrow.
He turned towards Lester and they shared a brief kiss, the flashes from hundreds of cameras visible even through their closed eyes. If the journalists wanted any more than that, they could keep wanting; Nick had no intention of giving them a free show.
Lester wrapped an arm around his waist and led him inside, closing the door firmly behind them.
"Welcome to Number Ten, Prime Minister."

Summary Just a little friendly competition.
Stephen raised the gun, focused on the target, blocking out the sights and sounds around him, and then slowly squeezed the trigger. All four shots hit the centre and the room erupted in cheers or groans, depending who they had been supporting, and large sums of money exchanged hands in a not so subtle manner.
He unloaded the gun and put it away before walking over to where Lester was doing the same. He leaned close, his breath raising goosebumps on Lester's neck as he whispered in his ear, "I win, James. I'll collect my reward when we get home."

Becker's team were wet and muddy when they straggled back into the ARC nine hours after they'd left it. He couldn't face the communal showers and decided to head home, but first he went looking for caffeine so he wouldn't fall asleep at the wheel.
Ryan was waiting in the rec room with the coffee already made. He pulled Becker close and ran a hand fondly through his wet hair.
"Drink this and then I'll drive you home, Hils." Ryan kissed Becker tenderly. "I'll run a bath and then we can have dinner in bed."

Becker slipped into the bedroom. Lester had obviously tried to wait up for him, but in the end the consequences of a long day had defeated him. He was leaning against the headboard, glasses perched precariously on his nose, and a book open in his lap, snoring softly.
Becker smiled at the sight. It was really quite adorable.
He undressed swiftly and slid between the covers. Gently he removed the glasses and placed them with the book on the bedside table, then he tugged Lester's pliant body into his arms and turned off the light. He would sleep well tonight.

An arm snaked out and pulled Cutter into a rarely used supply cupboard. His yelp of surprise was muffled by a strong hand over his mouth.

Cutter wriggled free and turned to face his lover. "Bloody hell, Niall, you scared me out of ten years growth. Why are we in a cupboard?"
Blade grinned and started unfastening Cutter's trousers with brisk efficiency. "If you can't work that out, I must be doing something wrong."

"Well, it could be worse..." Ryan said, smiling hopefully at the museum curator who was sobbing quietly next to him.
Ryan looked at the utter carnage around him and rubbed his face wearily. It was a toss up who had caused more damage - the three Othnielia which had tumbled out of the anomaly in the main gallery or the special forces chasing them.
There was a loud crash and he looked up to see Lyle holding the arm of what had been a statuette of a ballerina. On second thought there was no contest; it had been the soldiers.

Stephen moaned in frustration, trying to encourage Nick to move, but he stubbornly stayed where he was, tracing the outline of Stephen's tattoo with his tongue. He'd had it done where his hip bone stretched the skin, so that no one would see it unless he wanted them to, but now he was really beginning to regret it.
Nick seemed fascinated by the black lines and could spend what felt like hours licking it and slowly driving him insane. Eventually, Nick took pity on him and Stephen thrust up into his mouth, finally achieving the release he'd been begging for.

Stephen stood motionless, watching as Ditzy worked frantically to stabilise Ryan enough for him to survive the journey to the hospital. He hadn't moved since Cutter had staggered back through the anomaly carrying Ryan's limp, blood-covered body.
Finally, Ditzy stood and signalled the men to pick the stretcher up and carry it to the ambulance waiting beyond the security cordon. Stephen found he could move again and he ran forward, taking Ryan's hand in his. One of the paramedics tried to stop him climbing into the ambulance but he brushed them off.
"I'm here, Tom. You're going to be fine."
