So...out of place

So, here I sit, volunteering my time to help get my former boss' new business off the ground. I do this because he's one of the best people I've ever met. He deserves to succeed. However, I feel so out of place, as I seem to be the only one here that hasn't "found Jesus". In fact, I have purposefully left him under the couch. That's where he ( Read more... )

GOOD LORD. did you happen to read one of my posts about my 20 year old very immature sister wanting to get married so they can 'fulfil aspects of their relationship that morally they are not allowed to until married"? good lord god...*no pun intended*. i guess they don't realize that when the sex craze wears off they're stuck with the person for life. not only that but double virgin sex=not exactly the most fun in the world and/or all it's cracked up to be i'm sure. ugh. some people.

Yeah, I read it. The only reason I'm not totally against them is because of the fact that they've been steady for 5 years. I know they love each other and want to spend the rest of their lives together. In their mind, they're an old couple that's ready to get married. I just don't think that should even be a reason.

Yes, I know your sense of humor. Feel free to go ape nuts; it could be interesting. However, it wasn't so much the converstation, just the fact that people actually let God control their lives.

That's not the idea I got when I went to church. Just that Jesus and God were there to watch over us and protect us. See, I was raised (both at home and at church) to take responsibility for your own actions, not to blame everything on "gods plan". So, even when I did believe, I couldn't understand the concept of letting God control your life.
