Summer moon catch your shut eye in your room, in my room.

My weekend, quick summary: Went back to Louisville to help the fam with their many projects.  Came home feeling... very good.

My weekend,
Wow, where do I begin? I'll start on Sat morning but this may lose chronology.

- Got up around 9:30 am on Sat and secured the domicile for my departure, mainly feeding Phineas and cleaning her litter box.  I packed a few things in my backpack, things which I didn't use at all on the trip but hey, you never know.

- The drive down was easy enough.  There was minimal traffic and no fuck heads on the road. I listened to It's Blitz (Deluxe Edition) by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs pretty much the whole way down.

- My thoughts on It's Blitz: This album surprised me when I first heard it.  It was so different from YYY's previous albums that I barely recognized it.  It has taken a while for me to get over this fact and just listen to it as it's own beast.  Now I really enjoy it.  I recommend you get it and put it in your ear immeadiately.

- So, I got into New Albany and headed over to my Grandma's house.  The first order of the day was grocery shopping.  It was quite the adventure and our party was split in twain and became two seperate epics of grocery goodness. My family kept apologizing for having me help out which is just stupid.  I'd help out more if a could. After we unloaded everything, Mom and I headed over to the apartment she and my stepdad are staying at.

- I've mentioned that the 'rents got a new place and it's uninhabitable at the moment so they're staying in this aparetment tower thingy off Newburg until it's liveable.  It was a decent enough place, more like a hotel though.

- After dropping my stuff off at the apartment I finally got to see the new place.  It's smaller than the old place but that's better really.  With just the two of them they don't need the extra space.  It's in a great location, somewhere close to the Zoo.  There's lots of work going on.  New roof, electrics, water, everything really.  I helped scrapping some glue dot residue shit off the floors upstairs for a while before Ms.L and I headed out to buy their dog, Jackson, a new home.

- It took a while to find a decent dog house for him but we got this log cabin looking one which kinda matches the upstairs of the house.  When we were heading out to the car this ghetto hoochie rat stopped us cause her car was dead and needed a jump.  Several minutes later, after accomplishing nothing with jumper cables, we finally had to ditch her to the welfare of her friends.  A weird encounter.

- Later that night, the 'rents treated me to the Bristol which they eat at religiously.  It was good times.  Green chili wontons and pork loin with steak fries.  Those fires were great.  Murph got this white chocolate raspberry thing for dessert and it literaly hurt my tongue to eat it.  Rich.

- We headed back to the apartment after that and they went to bed.  I took a shower and cruised thru the cable channels for a while, finding nothing of interest.

- There was one channel that I found disgusting.  No, not Fox News though that is sick.  It was a channel for the closed circuit camera watching the front door of the building.  Now, I understand the point is that when someone buzzes your apartment you can check the channel to see who it is.  However, you can also use it to watch the security guard who watches the front door during the night.  This poor, bored bastard with a checker board in front of him, playing against himself. Disturbing.

- Anyway, I didn't watch TV long, cause it sucked mostly.  I did however end up txting with Ms.Xal for about 2 hours or so which was enlightening in many ways: some wholesome, some obscene which is a good ratio for just about everything.  I had to stop cause my battery was dying on my phone and like an idiot I forgot to bring my charger.  Still, it was pleasing and Ms.Xal's knowledge of cool things I will like MAKES HER COOLER THAN I.  HA! WIN!

- I got to bed around... 4 maybe 5 and was up by 10.

- Ms.L and I ran to Kmart so I could buy a car charger for my cell phone.  I've needed one of these for a while now. We grabbed some Wendy's and headed over the house.

- I spent the rest of the day on a ladder scraping and repainting the garage.  It was so fucking hot and I had only a dark blue shirt with me so I had to strip the shirt off to keep from collasping from the heat.  I now have a wonderful sunburn developing but the garage looks fuck awesome now.

- After the garage was done I needed to get going.  I would like to have stayed and helped out more.  I feel like a bad son, just a bit.  The car ride back was fine except for... this fucker in a truck who nearly killed me.  Total fucker.  I had to stop at  a Walgreens to get something for my skin burns.

- It's weird but the whole way back I've been almost overwhelmed with an overall feeling of contentment.  It's part the result of performing lots of physical labor, part getting outside and in the sun for so many hours, part seeing my fam for the first time in months, part goofing off with Ms.Xal till the wee hours of the morn, part just doing something constructive with my weekend. Seriously, I feel almost reborn.  I really hope this feeling lasts cause I like it.

Well, I have a gatorade to drink and a cat to molest.
