Traffic going home was mental today, queueing practically all the way home from Great Charles Street. So I'd already been driving rather stressful stop-start for well over an hour when I get almost back and find they've blocked off the road that leads to ours with a nice five minute detour. So we got ourselves an extra hour daylight in the afternoon.
Now if they could only do something about the grey overcast 'might rain any moment' weather.....

Oh yeah and my hayfever's kicked off again. *moan* Think I'll get a cool one from the fridge.

Evening by candlelight.
I cooked some food over a makeshift barbie powered by three night light candles in a casserole dish.

Trying to do much after dark without electric light is nigh on impossible though. Thank goodness for torches..

Now the clocks have gone forward it's 10am already so I think I'd better get up.

Found them manuels!!

In a triumph for looking everywhere over forgetfullness, they were in a wardrobe, in front of which had since been placed some large boxes. I had had a brief couple of looks in the 'drobe in the general search, but tidying the room and removing the boxes enabled the wardrobe to be opened fully and there they were.
