The quest for local musical talent has so far been very successful. I saw Aimee Bayles last night with my unrelated little brother Chris. I looked at Chris during her performance, and I could see a stunned looked on his face, which was exactly what I was feeling too. She is an amazing singer. teehee! that's me :-) Well as soon as I have any disposable income . . . or umm . . . income at all we should do something . . . unless you are enterprising enough to come up with non-capitalist activities(!) Well, since you mentioned Belle Isle that is actually a really fun place to go, and free . . . that's a thought. Or we could have a go at what me and Sarah did once last summer which is an educational day. We went to the John Marshall house and the Poe Museum. These activities, while not free, were definitely cheaper than your average movie excursion and waaaay more intelectually stimulating. The Poe Museum in particular is actually a lot of fun. I would so do that tour again :-) Anyhoo, I am muy rambly as it is late and I am tired. Also, fancy a road trip to NOVA? Ariel feels that we should come visit *g*

I am ALL about the free activities. This is one of the Chesterian things I have to react against. When they usually do something, it has to do with eating out. Hence my complaint that I'm always ordering water because I couldn't afford anything.

I always love to see Ariel, but daggone it if she didn't move too darn far away with the gas prices as high as they are. So we'll see.

well, it's true that gas prices are truly awful, but if we roadtrip together it might be feasible since we would each only have to pay for half the gas :-)

I may feel better about this plan after I get my next pay check.
