I was praying last night that God would tell me what to do about something. I asked him to help me lay down my own will so that I could see His more clearly. And I did. And I got the answer. It's amazing how Divinity works. I understand the gap that is in between our consciousness and God. Sometimes, to teach us, God has to take off the training wheels and send us off into the Unknown to ride by ourselves for a certain period. And those are the times we just have to pedal on bravely before God comes and grabs us before we crash into a mailbox. I have learned in my own experience that God DOES put the burden on us to maintain the relationship without His immediate guidance, even though He is always behind us or just giggling at the Caller ID as we call Him frantically. We can't just be 100% remote control robots under His control and always do the right thing, no matter how many times we read The Bible and how many times a day we pray. We are, after all, in a relationship with God, and sometimes he doesn't get to the phone right away, or is even teaching us a lesson by His absence. Sometimes He maintains radio silence, so that we do have to use our own "Good Ideas" to a large degree. We have to get to know ourselves and ( ... )
