No. "You" in this case referred to all three of my friends using LJ, and the question was somewhat rhetorical, while at the same time expressing my desire to escape ALONE to ANYWHERE!

Well! Aren't we little "Ms. Anthropic" today! Maybe you should read "Industrial Society & Its Future"... it has a whole section on modern medicine, the flip side of the "turning off the respirator" equation.
