Mum is going to have lung surgery Wed morning, then another (I assume on the other side) on the 15th. She'll hopefully be out of the hospital by the 20th. They're going to go and try to resect out all the lung mets. We're all very hopeful as surgical resection has worked well for her before (the liver surgery

thanks all! I totally overpacked of course, the dangers of traveling by car, and being frazzled when packing.

Susan, I know I'll definitely have time to see you, Andrew, Pearl and Everett. That's a bright spot for sure! :)
If it's not too horribly inconvenient, maybe I could hit you up for a place to stay at some point? I'm playing that by ear right now, and will stay at least the first couple of nights with Dad in his hotel room.

I'm glad I'm going up tho, I could hear it in Mum's voice that she was happy I was coming up. I've been there for all the other surgeries, can't miss this one :)
