Stitching Until My Fingers Bled....

Dec 20, 2008 16:58

Well, my fingers aren't bleeding exactly, but I'm certainly starting to feel it. Here are the projects I told you I would try to post for everyone, but haven't had a chance. I'm not done with everything I need to be, but while I had a few moments (read: blowing off cleaning the house because it's too overwhelming), I decided to post what I have. ( Read more... )

Joey, these are gorgeous! I'm in love with the little elephant. ♥ It's completely adorable! The bunny is cute too. The scrubbies look so pretty, and I love the colours you've used for them. I taught myself to crochet earlier this year, and it's so addictive, but therapeutic at the same time. Thanks for sharing these pics. :)

Happy holidays to you too, honey. ♥ (You should be receiving a card from me very soon!)

I'm glad you like them!!! That's awesome that you've started to crochet! I've always loved doing it and I've noticed I'm a bit calmer now that I'm doing it again.

The patterns for both the elephant and the bunny are from Lion Brand. They are pretty simple to do as well. I made up the elephant in one night...of course, I was rushing to finish it.

I forgot to add that I've done the scrubbies in different color combinations, but this one was the most popular. Unfortunately, I think that the cotton yarn color (the green twistie color) is being discontinued...I hate when yarn companies do that!

Being productive always makes me feel calmer. Or cleaning/organising stuff. That works too. *g*

I've been to the Lion Brand website before, and they do have some fantastic patterns! Have you ever visited Craftster.org? They have a crochet section, with lots of patterns and finished items. And this is very appropriate for this time of year: A cute snowflake coaster pattern.

I really do love the green twistie yarn, it's a shame they have to discontinue it. :(

Wow! Very nice! I've never learned to crochet or knit or anything, so I'm always so impressed by people who can do those things and especially those who can do lots of different things, including stuffed animals, with them. :-)

Glad it's going well and people are excited about getting the stuff.

Oh, and $1.50 x 3 is $4.50, so selling 1 for $1.50 and 3 for $5 is not likely to impress people. ;-)

Thanks for catching that...I meant $2 each and 3 for $5....I was a bit out of it when I posted the money amounts.

I love doing it. I've had a few people at work ask me to teach them how to crochet and I just can't seem to do it...I'm much to impatient...even my own daughter has given up on having me teach her. *laugh*
