Are the fosters really 'fosters'? I.e., do you plan to give them away to a new home in the future?
We're on our second attempt at adopting from a woman who rescues and fosters cats. We attempted the first two as a pair--sisters, one of whom turned out to be pathologically shy and the other one very skittish. They had to go back. Today, we got a young male cat from her. She thinks of him as 'mellow,' but he's scared and sad right now, and making the most heartbreaking sounds. He's alone, and all of his buddies are still back at cat paradise, where this women roasts them whole chickens and has them all sleep on the bed with her at night... :O
We do plan on adopting them out because our large tabby, The Doctor, hates one of them. The fosters are brothers and they're the sweetest cats so we're looking for a perfect family.
