Could you guys reply with your favorite names for girls? We can't agree on ANYTHING for a girl so far. I guess I shouldn't be worrying about this yet since we'll find out next week the sex of the baby, but I'm kind of afraid of what it might end up being named if it's a girl ( Read more... )

It's very obvious that there will be no better suggestion than S2k5, but, my official nominations are Sheridaniel for a boy, and Cheridan for a girl.

And... congratulations by the way.

but don't you think abbie is kind of a gross name? i do.

Yeah, I'm not big on constant nicknames. I'd rather have a given name that she won't have to abbreviate. And Abby/Abbie isn't my favorite either.

Jess just named her dog Georgette, but my second favorite girl name, Georgina, is up for grabs! Think about it, you could call her Georgie, like Swoosie Kurtz in "Sisters" or Gina, like this girl I grew up with. And Mayor Bloomberg of New York's daughter is named Georgina, and she is a world-calss horsewoman! It's the best name ever!

I also like Olivia, but what about just Olive? And I like Arden.
Leah is a little Leah Soles-ish, but she was the most beautiful girl in middle school. I think you guys would produce a daughter that looked like an Elizabeth. You could call her so many names based on that - even Betty, like my mom, and you could use an s in place of a z.

Enough!

My old hair-stylist, Roseann, her grandmother was best friends with Sela Ward's grandmother in Louisianna!
