For some reason I think the Heath Ledger news is really, REALLY sad! I'm not really sure why I feel as bad as I do, but I am really tore up about this?!?!
btw, i saw your myspace bulletin about the manson show, and your recommendation about the opening act. that's really funny because i recently (like, last week!) discovered muse! i REALLY like them, and i was like, what?! how come no one told me about this band! the song 'blackout' (i think that's what it's called at least) is tiiight! :D
yes YES! Muse! I'm excited! Now, "blackout" is from the "absolution" album. this album is certainly my FAVORITE muse album! "blackholes and revelations" is a close second favorite! do you have these gems?!
I coulda swore I brought Muse up to you back about an album or two ago. I really thought they sounded like the band radiohead might've been if they had kept making records like The Bends. Which is in no way a bad thing.
As for Heath Ledger, I was really shocked, and with all these coke whore celebrities out there fate deems his life to be taken? Just goes to show the whole "life" thing is a total crap shoot.
you might have. i tend to ignore recommendations for some reason. but yeah i've said the same thing, the vocals remind me a LOT of radiohead, but then the music is a lot more...well, hessian at times. in fact, cole and i decided they sounded like a cross between radiohead and queen. with some manheim steamroller thrown in at times, for spice.
I think it's really sad, too. He just seems like the last famous person who would die suddenly. Anna Nicole Smith wasn't a surprise. But Heath Ledger was always so under the radar in the first place. Celebrities without highly publicized drug habits don't die suddenly in their posh New York apartments. Right?!
Or maybe it's just that I really liked 10 Things I Hate About You, and Brokeback Mountain, and was REALLY looking forward to seeing him as the Joker in the next Batman flick...

Anyway, I'm right there with you on the sadness.
