I did pop by in our class picture yesterday (yes, I’m the kind of fool to whom that sort of stuff actually means something) but besides that I’ve been incredibly lonely for the past seven days or so - and bored, naturally. But after all something good - at least I’d count it as “good” - has come out of all this unexpected overdose of spare time: I’ ( Read more... )

....good girl ;___; finally grewing to admit your nerd-ism!! :DDD It's the best kind of way to be~~ (says a devoted Ringer and a jrock geek of worst kind, lol) I was discussing this with one boy in bus one morning on my way to work and he was seriously pissed that Japanese culture is most of the time mistook for those idiot teenagers who ruin the name of jrock. There're really devoted, smart fans out there as well.

I don't have that kind of passion for SW as you do but I still enjoy the older flicks greatly^o^ They're FUNNY and made of old skool adventure (the same than the original Indiana Joneses). The new episodes are kind of numbing, with all the politics and serious forehead-wrinkling. Sure, the effects are eye-burningly amazing, there's Ewan McGregor in them and the sidekicks are as silly as before, but somehow the new films seem as Lucas would've forgotten the little boy's heart he had in the old films. Now he's just playing with the effects. There was a good Simpson parody of this, actually XD;

Nothing ruins teh reputation of a great fandom better than mass-interest. D: Especially when it comes to urban teens and that's just wrong.

What could possibly be better than old skool action? :D It's by far the most entertaining and uplifting form of movies. It puts you on a good mood for sure.♥
Like I said, you have to be a hardcore SW-fan to love the new episodes since they're really not that fantastic as plain movies, at least compared to the old ones, and I guess you proved my point. :D I in the other hand love to find references to the future events form those, that's the thrill of them.
(Yes, I know, NO LIFE. xD)
