Yes, but if you remember Emmet and Edward saw to his pretty immediate demise after he bit her. If you could assume that the re-transformation would take as long as the original transformation then he would have just barely been showing the effects of it. Even if he was showing effects of a change, I don't think either of them were paying attention to that aspect of his being.
