They are "95%" sure my uncle has esophogeal cancer. Most people die within the first year of recognizing symptoms, 5% live past five years.
Whatever it is (it's cancer, they're just trying not to tell us; the doctors, I mean), has spread to his liver and lymph nodes and possibly his back.
Simply...my uncle is dying.

My uncle died from cancer (non-Hodgkin's lymphoma) a year ago on Christmas. I don't mean to make this about me -- I just want you to know that I understand. It's really hard for everybody. Just...be there for your mom/dad (whoever's brother your uncle is) as much as you can. Also, be sure to tell your uncle how much you love him and spend as much time with him as you can.
Man, that really sucks.

But I talked to my dad and he said it's okay if I go to UCB on the 31st since the party's been cancelled.
This is the first time I haven't been home when somebody's dying, and it's frickin' weird. He probably won't survive the summer.
It's strange though, I mean...I never see him, like, ever, but it's still pretty hard.
