I have to get my resume done by the end of this weekend so that I have it ready for two reasons:
- To get a summer job
- To possibly get a job for the fall and/or spring
For this summer I am going to apply for a job at NASA LaRC, hopefully I will get a job there, if not, I can always get a job at McD's, which isn't as bad as you all may think. Ok, but that's not really a big deal, that's just trying to get some cash so I can get another car and have some money.
The big deal is the Fall/Spring semesters. I talked to Randy Ward today (after talking to Greg Justice, making me feel like an ass, I don't think he noticed). Okay, so what I was told is that if I want to get a job up there (in either the Boston or NYC area) what I need to do is get my resume ready, and go up there and basically just knock on doors and say I want to job in, meaning I'm ready for a job whenever they need me. I may get lucky and find a place that wants me right then, I may have to wait, depends on my luck. Kind of a scary prospect really, but exciting at the same time.
I could stay here and take classes also. There are internships at Opera Roanoke, I have no details on how that works with school yet, but it's definitely possibly.
I'd like opinions on what you all think I should do, with reasons.
Last night a bunch of us went and played
Wallyball it was great fun, so much fun that
Derek and I decided it was going to be our exercise for the rest of the semester (and probably next year when we get back). We played for like 4 hours today, it was a great waste of an afternoon.
