This opens up a whole new world of annoying little sounds that are novel for the first 5 minutes that you hear them and then become distressingly annoying.

Such classics as: refrigerator motor, water dripping, air vents, crickets chirping (which to date I have never heard, but I'm told it's EXTREMELY annoying...although, if I can't hear it, you probably shouldn't worry)...

But yeah, it's still nice to know you CAN hear it.
