I'm writing a thank you letter for the scholarship I got, and they suggested that I include my extra curricular interests in it. So far I have reading, running, and gaming...and that's it. And gaming is kind of a stretch, since I don't do it a whole lot any more. And I don't think "cleaning, organizing, and writing thank you notes" really count

But, they don't call it a "full-time" job for nothing. Evenings and weekends give you enough time to hold down one or two extracurriculars, but not much more.
I think part of it is that everything has to be so damn serious. I remember when I was eight, I'd spend maybe three or four hours a week playing and practicing soccer, and that was plenty. Now, I want to be *good* at things, so I have to spend enough time on them to improve. And that's usually more than three or four hours. But maybe that's a personal problem.
