Blazer win again!
I was at the Blazers vs. Hornets game tonight, and we won. I've probably attended half a dozen games or more this season and last season, and I've yet to attend a game where the Blazers lost (knock on wood). Thanksgiving: success!
geekpdx and I made an entire Thanksgiving dinner yesterday, for the two of us plus his dad. We made a turkey, gravy, stuffing, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce, rolls, green bean casserole, and cookies. Guess what? Cooking that much food is a lot of work! I just finished reading The Crimson Petal and the White. It's a book about the dealings of a Victorian London prostitute with a fairly wealthy family. It's not the sort of book I would normally see on a shelf and immediately think, "I must read that!" It was given to me by a friend a while back and I just got around to reading it now. Bad kitties
Apparently our cats aren't too happy about the fact that this term I have to spend a lot more time at PSU, and so they're alone in the house more. I just came home to discover that they had knocked an enormous tequila bottle off of the top of the refrigerator. It was a gallon jug, I think, but it wasn't full, luckily. Despite being under the weather most of Tuesday-Thursday, I had an awesome week. There's the whole Obama thing, but everyone is posting about that, so I'm not going to say much, other than hooray! Jingle Bell Run
I did officially sign up for the Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis in December. I knew that it will start down near the river, so I was afraid that the course would go up into downtown - not exactly the steepest slope ever, but a pretty steady climb, and it would be really tough for me. Dresses
Sara, kate_fire , Marcie, my mom and I just went bridesmaid dress shopping, and I hadn't dared to hope that it would go so well! Probably within 20 minutes of arriving at the store, everyone had come to a consensus about which dress to go with. We picked a dress that look great on all three of them, and was reasonably priced.
