In the interests of catharsis

In the interests of catharsis, I need a rant about my stress levels. I shan't put it on my real blog, since that's not what it's there for. It is the act of writing it out, however, that helps, because otherwise I'll keep repeating it over and over in my head. I shall, therefore, take a leaf out of Big Tom's book and "bitch into the void ( Read more... )

Not sure if this'll help or not...

You won't be turning in the paper until after you've taken the tests (as far as I could tell from reading atleast). You won't be flying home until after both the paper and the tests. And you're time won't end until you're flying home.

Take one thing at a time, forget about the flight and the short amount of time left until you don't have anything else to worry about. :)

River! Now you listen, little albatross. I'm fine with you commenting on Adams' messageboard here. But when you go on and comment at the same exact minute and conjure yourself to say the same words I'm sayin...

Well, a man gets to thinking you're sharing some thoughts. So how 'bout you keep all that tele-whatchayoucallit on that side of the ship.

Do we have an understanding?

Thought you were safe here? Ha.

The end of things is often unsettling. Change. As I think you may have mentioned over in Wandernder Dichter not long ago. But, such is natural for a Professional Nostalgist. Just focus on one thing at a time. Enjoy your family. Knock those tests out of the way, and then get things in order.

Thanks for the advice guys. I was also contemplating cutting a pentagram into my chest and invoking Cthulhu or Hastur, but your way seems to involve less peril for my soul. Thanks.

End of the school year always brings unfathomably high levels of stress, doesn't it? I can only imagine adding that to the significant elements of departure and large-scale travelling -- I imagine you'll pull through and have a great experience to look back at all the same. I wish you luck,
Allan
