An announcement on the MUN website:

The MUN Students’ Union, along with the School of Nursing and the Centre for Nursing Studies, is holding Shinerama in aid of Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is the most common fatal inherited disease in Canada. So prevalent that one in four babies born will have CF.Am I reading this wrong? Are they actually ( Read more... )

That clearly can't be right. CF dramatically reduces life expectancy. This would have a tremendous and devastating impact on the Canadian population and age structure. I'm sure it would be common knowledge. Needless to say, someone in their publications department is not the brightest light on the Festivus pole.
