I've decided I'm going to attempt to write a play for Dessert Theater. You see, I feel that it is unfair that the techies have a play of their own (see last year's "Technically Challenged") and thus, as Heather wrote that play, and because of our unique bond, I feel that it falls to me to strike back ( Read more... )

Umm, for the record, aren't most plays for the actors anyway? Just playin' J. ;D If I can't come see Dessert Theater, though, I expect to at least get a chance to read the script.

You can disregard anything that I say next if you really want, but I just feel the need to put in my two cents:

DO NOT DO IT.

All plays are for actors to begin with. And the onyl way to make yours visibly for actors is to do a sort of behind the scenes thing with a bunch of rehearsing, "you-had-to-be-there" stories or inside jokes about Murphy's law.
I'm not saying it wouldn't be a good piece of theatre, or even funny to anyone who would be in it, but I don't think the general dessert theatre crowd would appreciate.

I don't know. I don;t say this to be mean, but just because I care.

Sorry, babe. I just don't see it. I tried telling you that last night when you called and told me about it. All plays are for the actors already. I also hate to think how poser-like it's gonna look.

You have my blessing if you wanna do it - you know that. It just seems superfluous.
