Hart is awake, in pain, and unhappy, and glaring at Thane as he enters the room. It's something of a sulky glare, but that's unsurprising for him. "Very funny, point taken," he growls, jerking the cuffs so they rattle. "You can let me out now, won't ever do it again."
Well, there's one up. Thane adjusts his path, stopping just out of kick range and crouching down to bring himself to Hart's eyelevel.
"You used to have a partner just like me," he says. "Cute. Thought it was cute. I guess that wasn't quite enough, though." He raises his eyebrows, expression open. "I should have taught you to fear me before I took you on, I think, because one of us was operating under some mistaken assumptions, and I'm not sure it was me."
He flips out a knife - switchblade, it looks like - and draws an indicative pattern in the air between them.
"But you shot me. And then tied me up where these kids-" He waves toward Dmitri and the Doctor, "-could get my AWD. That's either a meditated backstab or an indication of a dangerously unstable temper."
He lowers the knife, letting the blade rest on Hart's knee.
Oh, that knife changes things a bit. Hart's not loving the ways in which it changes things, and his expression shifts a little, making that quite clear. "I did say I wouldn't do it again," he points out, gaze flickering up from the knife to Thane's face. "I was only going to keep you tied up until I could apologize."
Or, rather, so Thane wouldn't wake up and do exactly what he did. That worked well.
Thane smiles. It's not a pleasant sort of smile - it's the kind that should remind you exactly why you're very careful around paranoid immortal psychopaths.
Then he rams the knife lengthwise up and along Hart's left shin.
"Apology accepted. Though I can't exactly trust you up and about now, can I? Temper, temper. So that begs the question of what I'm going to do with you."
