I've always thought that Singapore'd be an excellent place for a space elevator. If we could figure out a way to get the island from down here to up there, we probably wouldn't even need to bother with a counterweight. Let the Malaysians hog all the regional shipping--we're going to service the entire damn Solar System!
I've been missing it for months, now. I miss being able to walk everywhere. I miss the cool, cool weather. I miss being able to talk to most of my MSN contacts at a decent hour. I miss a whole host of things. What's really ironic is that if this keeps up I'm also going to miss not having to breathe in noxious fog while in bloody London, of all places.
I'll be back for a week, if everything goes well. And if I'm lucky, there'll be more visits to come. Not that I don't love my job here, too. London's just got into my blood.
I suppose it'd be a little too sappy to say I miss talking with you regularly too, would it? :P
