Just came from looking over a nasty fight on Godawful Fan Fiction. Name-calling, religious slurs, strawmanning, ad hominem attacks galore. It may have begun a few posts before, but here's what I can make out of it:

That said, I do agree with Alma Geddon on some points. Only her delivery is wrong. I won't be backing her up though, as I don't quite agree with her. Heck, I'm a pretentious bitch at times, but not to that extent. Enforcing an opinion on someone in the way she's doing is what turned me away from Christianity in the first place. Which is ironic, as she's a fellow Atheist.

I don't know what your religion is, but I'm presuming you're a Christian. Just as I know not all Christians are rabid fundies, I assure you, not all Atheists are religion bashers.

Catseye and jediserra are more, well, impartial and unbiased which makes this Atheist more inclined to their point of view - regardless of their own religious preferences.

I am a Christian, actually. Don't worry. I do realise that Atheists aren't all like Alma over there. There's just bad apples in every barrel, I suppose. Human nature and all that.

...As I browse through fandom_wank, I notice the GAFF board has been mentioned on a frequent basis, as of late. Sign of the times. A sad sign. Then again, with the current state of f_w, waiting for it to implode again...
