I'm not much for God or the Devil, but I do listen to a Christian band. I've mentioned this to some people, but it bears being told here. If you take that perceptual half step to the left, tilt you head and squint just a bit you will see that the wickedest most hated band in the world worships the same deity as most of the people who protest ( Read more... )

Now, this is just silly, brother-mine. I don't like ICP because I don't like their music. It has nothing to do with what they say or don't say; it's because, to me, their music does suck. Same reason I don't like Slipknot or Gwar or a billion other musicical artists out there. No amount of intelligence in their lyrics is going to change the fact that I simply don't care for their sound. Music is more than just the words.

My favorite ICP song, hands down is "Southwest Song" off of the Ringmasta album.

I stopped calling myself a Juggalette awhile ago... most of this was stemmed in personal reasons. But I am certainly down... and my Juggalo/lette friends still consider me family, even though I don't rep the name.

But yeah, ICP is still pretty rad. (And talk to me about Twiztid... ohg my god! I adore those two! Especially Madrox. *blush*)

Peace, ninja!

so I tried it, looked at their myspace, listened to all the songs they had up, don't like the music, the "messages" seemed pretty watered down to me, except for the desire to keep things scrubby (which I read as below status quo, keeping things real (as the kids say) doesn't have to mean intentionally under-achieving and being thuggish and bullying) oh and the hatred of gays, even if it is supposed to be just the yuppiesque metrosexuals, and those were the five songs fans voted to have up there... the cards are more interesting all remind me vaguely of gods, the only one I feel comfortable putting a name to is Odin/The great Milenko (I probably spelled it wrong, sorry) very well packaged, brilliant marketing with the cards and the albums, but uninspired music and hatred ruin it for me, as far as them being a Christian band, I've no doubt I've found them to be overly judgmental, way too into violence, intolerant of people who don't share their views (now tell me if I speak of the band or the religion) :) Either way I follow neither.
