Well... last week, I took part in the American Craft Council show in Baltimore... www.craftcouncil.org/baltimore
I wanted to write in my journal as soon as I could, and this was the first day that I woke up not feeling exhausted since the show, si here I am.
When they say that everything worth doing takes some effort, I think they were talking

At the Baltimore show, I was actually approached about doing a show in Massachusetts this summer, and i told them that I was interested. It's for a gallery in Cambridge, MA. When I have more info I'll post it here. I would love to run into you there.
I really pushed myself to produce. I did about 16 pieces in 6 months. That's VERY fast for me too. I'm more the one-a-month kind of artist. :)

I'm going to try and be much better about updating it. I was inspired at the show by the number of young artists who came through who LJ on a regular basis... I want to keep in touch with them... so I'm going to try to show up. It's always a struggle... studio time vs. online time.
I'm glad to see you. And, I appreciate your words, Dawn.

I'm also happy to hear it has not exhausted you to the point where you feel too drained to work. I'm excited to see what directions your muse takes you next.

Good to see you over here... and tanks for your support.
I've gotten a number of emails, yes... a few requests for commissions, and some "if you make this kind of piece, please email me" kind of thing... and then a lot of "it was a pelasure to meet you and share with you" kinds of emails... all very wonderful.
All of my medium and large pieces sold. I bought most of my small pieces home. I suppose I miscalculated the interest in the group. I thought that preseting a range of sizes would help people find the piece that was right for them... but the large pieces were by far the most popular. Now I know.

I'm currently working on a commissioned piece... a garden of Eden scene. After that, I wouldn't be surprised to see a few mythical creatures pop up... I'm feeling really inspired... you might see a mermaid... i keep sketching a goddess riding a bull (although I don't know who she is, it keeps coming out in my sketches) and horses. I want to do a horse.
More to come. :)
