I have lived to see the greatest, freest nation in history reach its peak and begin its swift cultural and economic collapse. I will never afford to have my own children. The people in charge from 1939 through the Eisenhower administration had a completely different character from the people running the show from Kennedy onwards. The seeds of our cultural decline were planted in the 20s and 30s but did not really take over until the late 60s and early 70s. The most brilliant move the Left ever made was to claim ownership of the American civil rights movement ( ... )

My mom said the same thing not too long ago. I empathize... but somehow don't feel like my best years are behind me. I hope you find perhaps yours aren't either.
