i think i may have adult-onset shellfish allergy. which would be a damn shame since i loooove shellfish and crustaceans. we went to a place about 40 mins outside bangkok that has fresh water prawns the size of your arm. they simply slice it in half and grill it. friggin superb

why do you think you're allergic?

they can give you a test at the allergist. they take a bunch of irritants and poke you with needles and stick the irritants where they poked you and then wait for you to start itching. when i got the allergy test it was broad-spectrum and i turned out allergic to every single thing - the most allergic person the doctor had ever met. totally awesome.

while in thailand, i consumed a fair bit of shellfish and i broke out in hives shortly after. could be something else entirely, i am not sure. i know that my hands get really itchy if i handle raw shrimps! allergy test sounds really annoying :)
