I am - not pleased with my country.

Especially when we compare it to others. We even spend more than they do, and get worse results! It seems that we do *not* have a true "market system" in place for health care (see "Medicare can't negotiate for drug prices" - how the hell is that even in the capitalistic system?).

*Sigh*

sorry, that was random. meh, i was there and I saw somebody who just reminded me of you. haha, i mean, he was wearing a fedora and this coat and he was with his wife and a few kids...i dunno, he just reminded me of you.

Because what we have has kind of stopped BEING a market economy. This is especially true in our medical sector (few drug manufacturers, who use the FDA to strongarm competition), but it's equally true in a couple of others. As with many things, money and special interests dominate over sense.
