I heard the Anime World Order review of Baccano this past week, and it sounded pretty cool - an anime about 1930's gangsters, a disjointed story telling style that made your think about the story, plenty of unique and interesting characters, a HUUUUGE mystery, and the OH MY GOD NO WAY huge surprise.

I've only seen the first episode but if they're talking about the twist about the show that I think they're talking about then it's something that gets revealed not even halfway through episode 1, so it doesn't really qualify as a spoiler, though I suppose it would be interesting if you were to go into the show not expecting it.

See, that was me. All I heard about was "gangsters, really cool storytelling style, great characters" - and then when I saw it, it was "Waaaaaait - WTF!"

I want to give My Lovely Wife the same experience. Because it was pretty cool.

That's pretty back customer service. That's like someone ringing up the last Harry Potter book and the cashier being all like, "Oh and by the way, so and so gets it in the end."

I would have complained, but then, I'm a bitch like that.

I dunno...If you're reading a book and a really shocking thing happens in chapter 2 (again with the Harry Potter reference) and you wanted to wait until you read it yourself, but someone else tells you anyway, is it a spoiler? I think of tv series like books with really long chapters. Even if an event that is shocking happens in the 2nd episode, I still want to be suprised and unspoiled.
