So I spent last night eating dinner and saying goodbye to my friends. It didnt hit me until I was halfway home that these people are the closest things I have to family. If you came back, I would never think you've failed, I'd think "Yay Chris is back he missed me!"
I'd probably think something more serious, the the term failed would never enter into the equation.

Do you remember when we went to Guitar Center to buy your fancy Mr. Expensive guitar? When we were at the check-out counter, I overheard two of the salesmen whispering to each other, and one of them asked the other one if he thought we were brother and sister. I thought that was kinda cool because I consider you to be my brother.
