Shalom all! Lately I've been reading a book about Mormonism, and I discovered something quite shocking--the Mormons are actually the fucking craziest people you'll ever meet. It's true! For example, look at the Book of Mormon--essentially their bible. I read a bit about it today. Allow me to summarize for you

i've read that book too, and you have summarized it pretty well. i also like how they know jesus christ's name before he even appears, something the old testament never even got close to.

you didn't even touch on some of the odder aspects of mormon doctrine nowadays: ie, holy underwear (or "garments" as they call them, dipped in holy water), temple recommends (if you break church doctrine you cannot go into the temple (not like a jewish temple), and cannot attend things like baptisms and weddings), and other odd things. there is also talk the "plates" the book of mormon was written on are stored in the SLC temple.

there are a lot of weird rumors about their marriage ceremonies and other things.

i lived in utah for 4 years as a gentile.
