D&D for the rest of us

With Players Handbook II coming out this week, I would be excited to actually play D&D.  Currently I am running an online game on Facebook, but like many DM's I am not actually playing in any games.  I would like to start here in Livejournal a Forgotten Realms game using all the 4th Edition books out to date (once the PHBII comes out)  The game ( Read more... )

I am tentatively interested. I say tentatively because I have no idea how a game like that would work without a DM.

Think of it as the rotating Dungeon Master option in the DMG, but since it is slow and online, anyone can step in as the DM when needed. We are all adults and most of us know the rules and stats of monsters well enough that there aren't any "secrets" like that. Adventures (modules) are preset anyway, so creativity from the NPC side is already there, only downside being no surprises (and maybe trap or secret door encounters)
